The Central Region police have begun investigations into circumstances leading to the death of a 64-year-old man at Ebiram.
Kwaku Mensah is alleged to have shot himself in his house at Ebiram in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region.
Police at Esakyir say when they visited the scene of the crime, they saw the lifeless body of the deceased lying in a supine position inside his hall in an uncompleted building.
They observed he was also in a pool of blood with a single barrel gun, a cutlass and a small plastic bottle containing an unknown liquid beside him.
The body of deceased was inspected and sent to the Saltpond Government Hospital for preservation awaiting autopsy.
The case is under investigation.
