The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old man for allegedly manufacturing local weapons in Gulumpe in the Kintampo North Municipality.
After escaping an earlier operation, the Regional Police Commander, DCOP Moses Asabagna Atibilla, disclosed to JoyNews that the suspect was apprehended in Zabrama, a community along the Kintampo-Prang road.
A total of 20 long barrel guns, two pistols and other ammunition were retrieved during the swoop.
