For stealing 15 pieces of louver blades, an unemployed man has been sentenced to three years imprisonment in hard labour.
A Koforidua circuit court convicted George Amponsah, 30, on his own plea for unlawful entry and stealing.
Inspector P. H. K. Sackitey, prosecuting told the Circuit Court ‘A’, presided over by Robert Adjei Djan, that thieves broke into a house under construction belonging to a Madam Barbara Quarshie and stole a quantity of louver blades.
The caretaker of the house mounted a surveillance resulting in the arrest of Amponsah, who was seen on the morning of March 14, carrying away 15 louver blades.
