A 26-year-old fashion designer, Mabel Asantewaa, has been killed after allegedly being stabbed multiple times by her boyfriend during a visit.
The suspect, identified as 28-year-old carpenter Bra Sammy, reportedly spent the night with the deceased before attacking her in her room. He was later arrested by the Weija Divisional Police Command.
The incident occurred at Kalabule Chinese, near the Kasoa Tollbooth, in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

Police reports indicate that the suspect became violent after a brief argument when he allegedly requested sex, and the victim declined, explaining that she was menstruating. He then stabbed her several times, leading to her death.
After the act, the suspect is said to have ingested a poisonous substance in an apparent suicide attempt. He is currently receiving treatment under police guard at the Amanfrom Polyclinic.
