Mantrac Ghana Limited, the sole authorized Caterpillar dealer in Ghana and pioneer in heavy duty machine sales, has introduced its latest machinery technology onto the Ghanaian market.
The AccuGrade Grade Control System brings to the customer an increase in productivity by up to 40 percent while reducing their site costs dramatically.
The technology was unveiled during a customer seminar dubbed “Caterpillar Road Construction Solutions Seminar” to introduce participants to the latest machinery and technologies available in global construction.

The seminar was attended by stakeholders in the road construction industry in Ghana.
The revolutionary Caterpillar solution is factory integrated, sensor-independent, and features a suite of products which includes cross slope, sonic, laser, GPS, and ATS technology.
Mr. Emad Adeeb the Managing Director of Mantrac Ghana said “In today’s competitive world of construction, contractors are facing a lot of challenges to maximize their productivity and lower their operating cost. New technologies in machinery and production can significantly improve your bottom line profitability and your projects’ overall success.
"We keep changing and upgrading the models for ease of use; hence customer’s seminars are used to reduce training costs and improve contact with our customers, giving them opportunity to sample the machines as well," he noted.
Mr. Emad Adeeb said the company’s quest to well position itself in the Mining, Oil and Gas sectors was backed by the a 30 million Dollar investment in the construction of Cat Engine Rebuild Center to support Ghana and the West Africa sub region.
According to him, the project comprises of over 26 acre workshop including 10,000 square meter repair center and over 5,000 square meter warehouse is expected to be completed next year.
Concerning the global crisis facing the mining sector as a result of falling Gold price which compelled some of the company’s key customers to lay off workers, Mr. Emad Adeeb noted that, his company has already ventured into other sectors such as Estate as well as Oil and Gas, and therefore the dwindling fortune of the mining sector will not affect them.
Combining digital design data, in-cab operator guidance features, and automatic blade controls, the AccuGrade Control System seeks to enhance grading accuracy and virtually eliminates the need for survey stakes.
