Construction firm, Maripoma Enterprise has been honoured by American automobile giant, Ford for owning the most Ford trucks in Ghana.
The wholly-owned Ghanaian company which is mainly in general building construction and civil engineering currently owns over 80 Ford trucks including tipper trucks, trailers, water tankers, among others.
This according to the vehicle manufacturer is remarkable considering that the latest generation of the cargo trucks was launched only in 2012.
Presenting a plaque to the company, Ford’s Head of International Markets, Ercan Emrah Duman noted that the ‘Special Customers Award’ is to “affirm how valuable Maripoma is to our business because they have over the years lived our brand and have mutually cooperated with us in doing business.”
He added that Ford is committed to supporting all its partners especially, those who truly believe and actually invest in the brand.
Receiving the award, Managing Director of Maripoma Construction Enterprise Ali Seidu expressed delight for the recognition but was quick to point out that his company only acquired the fleet because of their high performance.
“Even though we have other brands like the ‘Man Diesel, Scania, Iveco, among others, the Ford trucks have proven to be enormously reliable.
“We are saving a lot of money using the Ford truck and the introduction of the new range the ecotorq engines and enhanced features presents a fine opportunity for us to acquire a lot more Ford trucks,” he emphasized.
Mr. Seidu expressed satisfaction with the after-sales services offered by the sole distributor in Ghana Rana Motors who according to him has always been available to solve any problem encountered.
