A massive Shake-up, has quietly taken place within government, resulting in the exit and shuffling of some top guns within the bureaucratic machinery of government, with credible indications that more shake-ups are underway. The controversial Chief Director of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Nana Juaben Siriboe, has been affected by the massive shake-up. According to a circular sighted by The Enquirer, Mr. Siriboe, who has a two-year contract first signed somewhere in 2005, has been asked to proceed on leave prior to the end of his contract. He is to be replaced by Major M. Tara (Retd.), who until 2001 when the NPP took office was the Director of Budget at the Ministry of Finance. The Chief Director of State Protocol, Mr. Kobina Wudu, who was also on a two-year post-retirement contract, has exited, whilst Mr. W. Dodd, Chief Director of the Ministry of Transport, who retired in 2007 but was on a one-year retirement contract is also gone. Similarly, Mr. S. E. Addo, Chief Director of the Ministry of Trade and Industries, who was on a one-year retirement contract since 2008, will not have his contract renewed and is to go, whilst Mr. Ato Essuman, Chief Director of the Ministry of Education, who was also on contract, is gone. Dr. Gyiele Nurah, Chief Director of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, who was also on contract, is to proceed on leave before the end of his contract in the latter part of this year, whilst Mr. K.A. Gyarteng, Chief Director of the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing is also to proceed on leave prior to retirement. The Chief Director of the Central Regional Coordinating Council, Mr. M. K. Essandoh, retires at the end of this month, whilst Mrs. Dina Hammond, Chief Director of the Ministry of Energy is to be transferred from that particular Ministry. Ms. Emma Lillian Bruce-Lyle, Chief Director of the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Culture, has been retained at her job, whilst Mr. Daniel A. Nyankamawu, Chief Director of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development remains at his position on a one-year contract which expires on September 19 this year. Mrs. Bridget Katsriku, Chief Director of the Ministry of Tourism has been shuffled to serve on the Public Service Commission (PSC) board. Source: The Enquirer
