Ghana Table Tennis Association continues to make strides in the global sports arena with the election of its president Mawuko Afadzinu as the first Chairman of the Sustainability Committee of the International Table Tennis Federation.
Afadzinu, who is also a Board Member of the International Table Tennis Federation, will be assisted by Daniel Valero of Spain and Majd Albalooshi of the United Arab Emirates.
In partnership with the International Table Tennis Federation’s Foundation, the Committee will ensure that the international body champions a greener future by fulfilling its needs without compromising the ability of future generations to do so by balancing not just the environmental factors, but the social and economic factors to create a healthy, equitable, and prosperous society.
Afadzinu and his team will serve a two-year term from 2023 to 2025.
At the just-ended International Table Tennis Federation’s Seminar in Bangkok, Thailand from the 22nd to 24th of August 2023, Afadzinu also led a workshop on growing revenues for national, regional and continental table tennis events.
