Inflation for the month of May saw another marginal decline. It is at 8.90 down from 9.02 percent for April, the third consecutive drop for this year.Head of Economic Statistic Ebo Duncan explained to Joy Business the decline has been as a result of a number of factors. He said whilst some food prices have dropped, some imported items have gone up.He explained when prices of imported products are increased from the exporting countries traders in Ghana have no choice but to increase the price.Mr. Duncan however maintains the outlook for inflation is favorable.
Greater Accra still continues to account for the highest inflation at 12.23 whilst the Northern Region had 4.15 percent, the lowest.Source; Joy Business/Ghana
