The Asante-Mampong Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Daniel Appau Ohyeamang, has appealed to Ghanaians to support President Mills' Administration as he works hard to make things better.
He said Ghanaians should continue to show understanding and support the Government to carry out its mandate.
Mr Ohyeamang was addressing the 49th convention of the True Faith Church of Ghana held at Asante-Mampong on Wednesday.
The MCE said it was important that people put the general good of the nation ahead of parochial political interest and advantage.
He said Ghanaians should unite together to achieve the "Better Ghana Agenda" of the government.
Mr Ohyeamang also encouraged the Church to help to promote genuine national reconciliation and assist people to live in total peace.
Apostle John Owusu-Achiaw, the newly elected General Overseer of the Church, asked the members to lead Christ-like lives in order to become good examples to the rest of society.
He said they should distance themselves from all forms of social evils and bad conduct that were likely to dent the image of the Church.
Apostle Owusu-Achiaw said, under his watch, the Church would give equal attention to both spiritual and physical development of the people by focusing on the building of schools and health facilities.
Nana Boakye Yiadom, Atonsah Gyasehene of Asante-Mampong, called on religious bodies to stay away from partisan politics.
"It does not lie with the leadership of the Church to tell the members which political party to join", he added.
