McOttley Holdings, one of the leading financial and real estate institutions in the country, has donated assorted items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to students and staff of the Dzorwulu Special School as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility Agenda.
The items which consisted of bags of rice, maize, sugar, gallons of 25 litre oil, boxes of indomie, drinks, chocolate, toilet rolls, biscuits, barrels and water storage materials were valued at over GH¢10,000.
Aside the items presented to the School, the children were treated to a short valentine party where they were presented with chocolates and drinks.

Making the presentation, the Group Chief Executive Officer of McOttley Holdings, Kwesi Livingstone, indicated that the donation form part of the company’s vision to give back to society.
“This gesture is going to be a seasonal programme for the needy in society and we have started with Dzorwulu Special School. Additionally, the donation was in line with the celebration of Valentine’s Day and the company’s desire to ensure that the students are not left behind during the celebration,” he stated.
Mr Livingstone continued: “We at McOttley have planned of adopting some of the blocks of the School by painting it with our corporate colours annually.”
He commended teachers of the Dzorwulu Special School for exhibiting dedication and passion towards the welfare of the students.
The Assistant Head of the school, Frederick Tetteh, who received the items, charged parents not to abandon their children with disabilities but rather enrol them in special schools with trained teachers to see to their special needs.

“With education they can live independent lives in society and contribute their quota to the development of the nation,” he said while calling on other corporate bodies and individuals to come to their aid.
The school prefect of the Dzorwulu Special School, Master Isaac Okyere, also expressed gratitude to the McOttley for its kind gesture.
Some of the Senior Management members of McOttley who took part in the ceremony include the Managing Director (MD) of Lending, Gilbert Adamtey, MD of Properties, Nathaniel Asare, Head of Marketing Lending, Joseph Owusu-Ntim and Head of Marketing Capital, Samuel Darko Gyasi.
