Information available to Joy News indicates that the Managing Director of the State Housing Company, Dr Mark Ankrah has been sacked.
The board of the company has also been dissolved.
This follows allegations of financial impropriety leveled against officials there.
Public Relations Officer of the Water Resources, Works and Housing Ministry, Abraham Otabil has confirmed the dismissal to Joy News.
He said a committee has been inaugurated to investigate the allegations.
The investigation was triggered by a petition made to the sector ministry by largely the “entire staff” of the company on series of allegations.
The committee inaugurated on Friday has been tasked to submit its report to the Water Resources, Works and Housing Minister Alhaji Collins Dauda within a week.
“A clear case is an allegation of financial impropriety and then accusation of maladministration during his (Dr Mark Ankrah’s) tenure as the MD of State Housing Company,” Mr. Abraham Otabil said.
