Medeama SC owner Moses Armah says he is happy with coach Tom Strand’s decision to quit the club.
The Swedish trainer left the team’s hotel in South Africa unceremoniously hours after their 3-1 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in a CAF Confederation Cup playoff game.
Strand was later in the day spotted in his native Sweden.
Medeama arrived in Accra on Monday night and owner of the club Moses Armah told reporters Strand leaving for him comes as good news.
“It is good for us, whatever has happened is very good for us,” Said Armah
“Before our departure I didn’t even want to go with him but the CEO pleaded on his behalf so if he has left fine.
“We are going all out to qualify for the next stage, coach Adotey will handle the team.”
