But the other contestants were not denied the Joy of Christmas, as they were also handed a hamper each for a good show done during the competition.

The competition was organized by Melcolm Care foundation in collaboration with Devio Arts Centre to put smile on faces of children this Christmas.

Speaking to Joy News in an interview, Founder of Devio Arts Center, Ms Lily Kudzro said the programme seeks to get kids to experience a different time during this Christmas.

“So we’ve decided to bring so many Santa’s to a location like this as a new experience for them because they always attend parties where there are food and drinks but they have never had this opportunity to be with other children who are dressed like this to mark the Christmas season.”

According her, the programme was also designed to “climax the 'Sunday fun Day' Programme” which was instituted in October this year by the Melcom Care Foundation in partnership with the Devio Arts Centre.

“Melcom is very keen about inspiring and transforming the lives of children through the creative arts. So coming together to do this is a great thing for children in Ghana and will allow them to become more creative”, she explained.

Meanwhile, Mr. Godwin Avenorgbor, Communications Director of Melcolm Group of Companies has admonished the kids to learn to exercise so that they can grow to be strong and healthy.

He said Christmas is a season to give and therefore his outfit chose to reward the best Santaclaus dressed kids on this occasion.
