As part of activities marking the 5th anniversary of the late founder and Chairman of the Melcom Group, the Melcom Care Foundation has donated food items and books to four educational institutions
The beneficiary institutions are the Amanokrom Presbyterian JHS, Dzorwulu Special School, Akropong School for the Blind and the Accra Wesley Girls School.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony at the Melcom Head Office in Accra, Group Managing Director, Mr Ramesh Sadhwani, said the gesture reflects the key principle of giving back to society, a value that ultimately led to the establishment of the Melcom Care Foundation in 2013 by the late Chairman.
“Our late Chairman inspired us by choosing health and education as Melcom’s key Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) pillars, as these sectors impact every aspect of society.

“Over the last decade, Melcom has invested over GH¢25 million in supporting community projects within these fields, and today we are here in this same spirit of giving,” he noted.
The food items valued at approximately GH¢40,000.00, included Bags of Platinum Jasmine Rice, Cartons of Platinum Corned Beef, Cartons of Unity Tuna Flakes in Vegetable Oil, Cartons of Milkana Spreadable Cheese and Bottles of Awake Melcom Water.
The institutions also received a selection of books, including "Reflections of the Late Chairman," to support student learning.

Girl Child Coordinator of the Amanokrom Presbyterian JHS, Eunice Agyeiwaa Marfo, on behalf of the beneficiary schools, expressed profound gratitude to the Melcom Care Foundation for the kind gesture.
“We are very grateful to the Melcom Care Foundation for supporting us with these food items and books. It came to us as a surprise, so we are really thankful to the management of Melcom,” she said.
