Alleged thieves broke into the Taifa residence of a member of the Communication Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Boamah Otokunor, at midnight on Monday and made away with his 2011 model Lenovo laptop.
The laptop, according to Mr. Otokunor, has some data of the NDC on it and all the data he worked on privately because “it is my personal laptop and I do a lot of things on my laptop”.
Mr. Otokunor said he suspected the thieves were thugs hired by his political opponents to steal his laptop because “they know I played a key role in the campaign of the NDC for the 2012 election so they know I have some information on it which will give them evidence for their allegation against the NDC for rigging the general election, otherwise why will they enter my living room and pick only my laptop” he quizzed.
Narrating the incident to Gold News, Mr. Otokunor claimed he woke up at midnight on Monday, to discover that his living room had been raided by thieves who made away with the laptop he worked on the previous night.
He checked the door to the room and realized it had been forced open.
He had since made a report to the Achimota Police who have started investigating the matter.
