The Accra Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana has congratulated The Multimedia Group, parent company of Joy FM and other stations, as the company celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
Founded in 1995, The Multimedia Group started with the establishment of Joy FM and in two decades, has grown to become Ghana’s leading and trusted media organization with six radio stations, a satellite television platform and online news portals under its wings.
The Accra Diocese of the church in a statement, signed by Rt. Rev. Titus K. Awotwi Pratt, Bishop of Accra, said “On behalf of the Accra Diocese of The Methodist Church Ghana, I would like to congratulate The Multimedia Group for its many achievements over the past 20 years.”
The church noted that since the company’s inception in 1995, The Multimedia Group “has drastically changed the media landscape in Ghana and offered a platform for reliable and authentic news reporting; a strong independent voice of the people to be heard, ‘Ayeekoo’.”
“Also new technologies and shifting conditions have transformed the Media. Through the years, The Group has responded to new changes and has adapted to meet the needs of Advertisers and Vendors,” the statement added.
The church congratulated The Multimedia Group for responding to the humanitarian challenges facing the country through “The Multimedia Educare Trust Fund”.
This Fund, the statement said, “has provided development assistance to many needy children in our country and has played a significant role in the global fight against poverty.”
The church also congratulated the Board Members of the company through whose efforts The Group has chalked up these successes and all members of staff for the pivotal role that each of them has played in the success story of The Group.
“Members have developed trusting and open relationships based on mutual respect and common interests to both Advertisers and Vendors and I truly believe that these relationships are a key reason for The Group’s longevity and success.”
“I wish Multimedia Group and its Staff God’s abundant blessings and a productive and prosperous future,” the statement concluded.
The Multimedia Group operates Joy FM, Luv FM, Adom FM, Nhyira FM, Hitz FM, Asempa FM, MultiTV, Myjoyonline.com, Adomonline.com and Joy Marketing Services.
