Ghanaian-American comedian Michael Blackson has confirmed that his long-running engagement to fiancée Rada Darling is over, after the entertainer revealed he fathered another child weeks after the couple welcomed their son.
Blackson posted about the split on social media this weekend, asking for privacy for everyone involved and stressing the need to protect the children.
The announcement followed intense online coverage and viral reaction after news surfaced that a second baby was born less than two months after Blackson and Rada introduced their newborn son, Lil Mikey, in June.
Rada Darling addressed the situation directly on Instagram. In her post she confirmed that she has ended the relationship, described feeling deeply hurt by the revelations, and asked followers and the public to respect her privacy as she focuses on her child and her own wellbeing.
Her message underlined the emotional toll the episode has taken and asked that conversations about the family be kept out of the spotlight.
Blackson and Rada became engaged in 2021 after a surprise proposal on the radio show The Breakfast Club.
The couple announced their pregnancy earlier in 2025 and introduced Lil Mikey in June, an arrival that had raised hopes among fans that marriage might soon follow.
Michael Blackson is already a father to three older children from previous relationships: Michael Jr and twins Niko and Noah. This new revelation now makes him a father of 5 boys.
His post indicates the second child arrived shortly after Lil Mikey, and that appears to have been the immediate cause of Rada’s decision to end the engagement.

Blackson’s public posts combined apology and explanation, while Rada’s message made clear she would no longer remain in the relationship. Both have asked the public and the press to respect their privacy as they navigate next steps.
Reactions online have ranged from calls for compassion to pointed criticism aimed at Blackson.
Many commentators have urged restraint and concern for the children, while others debated the wider ethics of publicising such personal matters.
There are no reports of any legal action related to paternity or custody at this time.
Michael Blackson remains a prominent figure in comedy with an active touring schedule and media presence.
Personal controversies often generate heavy coverage, yet many entertainers continue to work while navigating private crises.
How this situation will affect Blackson’s public work remains to be seen.
