Mr. Mike Nii Nortey Oquaye Jnr, a lawyer and an aspiring Member of Parliament for the Dome/Kwabenya Constituency, on Saturday picked a nomination form at the New Patriotic Party Constituency Office amidst brass band music.
Mr. Oquaye Jnr.,who is the son of the sitting Member of Parliament for the constituency is the third aspiring Member of Parliament to have filed his nomination on the ticket of the opposition New Patriotic Party, after paying a GHC10,000 filing fee.
Mr. Oquaye Jnr. promised to liaise with youth organisations in the constituency to groom them so they can assume leadership positions in the area.
“I will create a viable communications network and construct a senior High school with ICT facilities for the constituency “pledged Mr. Oquaye Jnr.
He also promised to push forward the electronic voting procedure to prevent cheating and violence during elections, as well as ensure the setting up of both a police station and a post office in the constituency.
