President Mills is expected to hold further discussions with the NDC Majority in Parliament after a crunch meeting at the Castle last night ended inconclusively.Joy News sources say the President told the National Democratic Congress Members of Parliament (MPs) that he only suggested that former Interior Minister, Cletus Avoka and Youth and Sports Minister Rasheed Pelpuo could be considered for leadership positions in Parliament.According to the President, he has not appointed the two to replace Alban Bagbin and his team but the issue was blown out of proportion by the media.Present at the meeting was NDC chairman, Kwabena Adjei, Chief of Staff Henry Martey Newsman, his deputy Alex Segbefia and other NDC stalwarts.President Mills reshuffled Cabinet on Monday, appointing Majority Leader Alban Bagbin as Works and Housing Minister designate, among other key appointments.Although speculations were rife that Interior Minister Cletus Avoka, who has been removed, was going to lead the Majority in the House, the suggestion seemed to have raised a few eyebrows as some NDC MPs raised an objection.Myjoyonline.com
