Mohammed Kudus went from hero to zero over the weekend as West Ham United suffered defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Ghana international scored the opening goal of the game before being sent off late in the game in the 4-1 loss.
Kudus found himself on the end of a Jarrod Bowen low cross in the box before firing the ball into the net into his weaker foot to give the Hammers the lead.
The midfielder who had struggled on international duty scored to make it back-to-back goals in his last two Premier League appearances.
Tottenham levelled the score in the 36th minute through Dejan Kulusevski with an assist from James Maddison.
The two teams went into the break on par.
However, Tottenham would go on to score their second goal of the game. Yves Bissouma was set up by Destiny Udogie and the Malian made no mistake as he gave his side the lead.
An Alphonse Areola own goal extended Tottenham's lead before Heung-min Son, who was making an injury return, netted in the 60th minute to make it 4-1 for the home side.
While Julen Lopetegui's side strived to reduce the deficit, they were handed a blow in the 86th minute following Kudus' sending off for violent conduct.
The Ghanaian's red card means he will miss the games against Manchester United, Nottingham Forest and Everton.
