About 700 inhabitants of Ayensuano District of the Eastern Region who were rendered homeless following a rainstorm have received support from their Member of Parliament, Aye Paye.
The victims, mostly farmers, were given 500 bags of cement, 40 packet of roofing sheets and 40 boxes of nails.
Some of the affected areas included Otoase, Akokrom, Dokorochiwa, Onakwa Ase, Kofi Pare, Kwaboanta and Govinakrom.
Mr Aye Paye said the items were his personal contribution towards the welfare of the people and appealed to them not to build houses on waterways.
Nana Kwakuvi Govina II, the chief of Govinakrom, expressed gratitude to the MP for the assistance provided.
He assured that the items would be distributed equitably for the benefit of all the victims.
