Parliament’s Privileges Committee has deferred hearing of a complaint against the Member of Parliament (MP) for Afram Plains North to May.Emmanuel Aboagye Didieye was dragged before the committee by his colleagues after he told a radio station 80 percent of MPs are womanizers. The NDC MP also claimed 60 percent of teachers are alcoholics.A member of the privileges committee and MP for Kade, Ofosu Asamoah says the postponement should not be interpreted to mean they do not intend to discipline their colleague. He said while the House had considered reconvening during recess to look into the complaint, factors such as the New Patriotic Party parliamentary primaries had made that impossible, necessitating the postponement.Source: Joy News/Ghana
