A public lecture has been held at the Accra International Conference Centre to mark the 30th anniversary of the June 4th uprising.
The June 4th uprising was a military revolution by young army officers who overthrew senior army officers of the Supreme Military Council in what was said to be a house cleaning exercise.
The June 4th coup was expected to end all military coup d'etats.
Thirty years down the line, Mrs. Rawlings whose husband and former president Jerry John Rawlings was liberated by the uprising, addressed cadres, and teeming supporters of the NDC at the Accra International Conference on the principles of probity and accountability, ideals underpinning the June 4th movement.
Listen to excerpts of Mrs Rawlings' lecture in the attached audio.
