MTN Ghana has held a media and stakeholder engagement session in Ho, focusing on strengthening relationships with key stakeholders and discussing the company’s services, achievements, successes, and challenges.
The event brought together journalists, stakeholders, and MTN officials in a bid to map out the future of digital transformation, particularly how MTN envisions itself over the next five years.

The event, which featured presentations and discussions, was highlighted by the active participation of journalists who engaged in group presentations on the theme, “The Future of Digital: How We Want to See MTN in 5 Years.” These discussions emphasized MTN’s role in driving digital solutions and connectivity in the region and across Ghana.

Mr Peter Bimpeh, the Senior Sales Manager and Commercial Head for MTN’s South East Region, which includes Accra, Eastern, Volta, and Oti, delivered the main presentation.
He started by outlining MTN’s core belief, stating, “We believe that everyone deserves the benefit of a modern, connected life. I believe you agree with me, that nobody in today's digital presentation must be left out of this era we find ourselves in. Mr Bimpeh reiterated MTN’s strategic intent: “It is to drive leading digital solutions for Africa's progress.”

He further elaborated on MTN’s strategic pillars, emphasizing the company’s commitment to building the largest and most valuable platforms, driving industry-leading connectivity operations, creating shared value, and accelerating portfolio transformation. “As a business, this is our guiding principle. We have a clear strategy that is delivering us into the digital world,” Mr Bimpeh noted.

The commercial presentation was led by Mr Ransford Gyan, the Area Sales Manager for Eastern, Volta, and Oti, who provided insights into the evolution of MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) over the past 15 years.
He discussed its achievements, challenges, and the ongoing fight against MoMo fraud, which remains a critical concern for the company. “We continue to innovate and implement security measures to safeguard our customers' transactions, but we also need continued vigilance from all stakeholders,” Mr Gyan emphasized.

On the technical front, the presentation was handled by Mr Samuel Duku, the Regional Technical Manager, who highlighted some of the technical challenges MTN faces, including network issues and infrastructure constraints.
He also shared the company’s achievements in enhancing service delivery and connectivity in the region. “Our focus remains on improving network reliability and expanding coverage to ensure seamless communication for our customers,” Mr Duku stated.

The session opened with a welcome address from the Regional Lead, Mr Mawuli Katahena, who expressed optimism that the engagement would yield valuable insights for a better digital future with MTN. “This is an opportunity for us to gather feedback and collaborate on our journey towards a more connected and digital society,” Mr Katahena remarked.
MTN’s engagement in Ho highlights the company’s proactive approach to involving stakeholders in its strategic planning process.
The discussions and presentations reflected a shared commitment to leveraging digital technology to drive progress and create value, not just for MTN, but for all its stakeholders across the region and beyond.
