The Multimedia Group has announced its commitment to serve as the major media partner for the 2025 Anlo Hogbetsotso Festival, following a strategic meeting with the festival’s planning committee in Accra.
The high-level engagement brought together key stakeholders, including the Chairman of the Hogbetsotso Festival Planning Committee, Mr. Ken Edzordzinam Kpedor, and Multimedia Group executives led by Mr. Fiffi Koomson, General Manager of Joy Brands. The discussions laid the foundation for a comprehensive media partnership ahead of the festival’s official launch later this month.
Although the formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is yet to be signed, Multimedia Group has committed to providing extensive coverage of the launch at Ohawu Agricultural College, with full partnership activities to follow once the agreement is formalised.
Comprehensive Media Strategy
The partnership includes a detailed action plan, dubbed the Multimedia Ghana Media Support Plan for the Launch of Hogbe 2025, designed to build national anticipation and awareness. The four-day campaign will roll out across Joy FM, Adom FM, Hitz FM, Joy Prime, Adom TV, and MyJoyOnline under the theme “Building Bridges: From a Common History to a Common Destiny.”
Programming highlights will feature countdown mentions across Joy and Adom platforms, special discussions on Joy News and Asempa FM about Hogbetsotso’s cultural, economic, and tourism impact, as well as live coverage and social media campaigns on launch day. Minimum targets include multiple live presenter mentions, festival jingles, and recap programming across flagship shows like the Super Morning Show and Newsfile.

Cultural and Regional Significance
The 2025 festival will showcase activities across several districts, including a mini Hogbe ceremony in Adidome, highlighting its regional inclusiveness. Organisers say the collaboration with Multimedia Group will guarantee nationwide reach and enhance the profile of Hogbetsotso as one of Ghana’s premier cultural festivals.
Preserving Heritage Through Modern Media
The Hogbetsotso Festival, which commemorates the migration and settlement of the Anlo people, has long served as a bridge between history and modern identity. With Multimedia Group’s extensive media footprint, the 2025 edition is expected to attract record attention, combining cultural authenticity with modern promotional strategies to create an unforgettable celebration.
The partnership underscores a shared commitment to promoting Ghana’s cultural heritage while driving development opportunities for communities across the Volta Region.
