The National Youth Organizer of the Convention people's Party, Murtala Muhammad has defected to the Progressive People's Party citing a number of reasons for his action and questioning the leadership of the Flag-bearer and national Chairperson of the party.
Murtala Mohammed said he had accommodated unfair treatment meted out to him in the last few Months and thought it necessary to take the painful decision to quit the CPP.
He said he does not want to be part of a party which is struggling to beat the 1 percentage point it clocked in the last elections.
The CPP he said is full of indiscipline and lacks organizational structures to make things work out.
Also joining the PPP is Richard Ato Heyford, National Youth Organizer of the Democratic People's Party DPP.
He claims, incompetence of leader Ward Brew and others makes it unwise to continue belonging to that party
