Ghanaians have been advised to change their attitude towards time, because time is universal.
The Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Ignatius Baffour-Awuah said this at a music festival, organized by MUSIGA in collaboration with the Ghana at 50 Secretariat in Sunyani. The Programme that forms part of activities marking the Ghana at 50 celebrations started about five hours late.
Top public officials, chiefs and the general public attended it. Mr. Baffour-Awuah said the concept of African time must be done away with and therefore advised Ghanaians to avoid lateness as the nation celebrates it 50th birthday in order to increase productivity.
The Krontihene of Sunyani, Nana Oboaman Bofotia, urged Ghanaians to bury their differences to pave way for development because we are one people with one destiny.
Some of the artists and groups that performed included Kofi Kyeremeh, Alhaji Twumasi-Awuah, Adekyeman choral group, Fire Tenders of Techiman and All Saints Choir.
