Daniel Kofi Anyidoho, musician, from Kadjebi was on Thursday jailed 12 months by a circuit court at Hohoe for stealing two goats valued at GHC 70.
He pleaded guilty to stealing the goats belonging to Mark Ofori, a carpenter at Hohoe.
Police Detective Chief Inspector Samuel Gbedemah, told the court presided over by Mr Samuel Sarpong-Appiah that the complainant, who live at Kpoeta, a suburb of Hohoe, detected the loss of two goats on September 13, this year, and caused the gong-gong to be beaten but to no avail.
He said the two animals were later traced to a chop bar in Hohoe and when the chop bar owner was confronted he mentioned the convict as the one who sold the goats to her.
Chief Inspector Gbedemah said Anyidoho was arrested later at the same chop bar with another goat, which he was offering for sale and to collect the rest of the money from the earlier transaction involving two animals he had sold at GH¢ 50.
