A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mustapha Abdul-Hamid has evoked curses on embattled founding member, Dr. Wereko Brobby for alleging that he [Hamid] has children out of wedlock.Hamid who unequivocally denied ever having children outside marriage described the allegation as baseless and called on Allah to curse Dr. Wereko-Brobby both on earth and thereafter if his allegation is false."The Almighty Allah will curse Dr. Wereko-Brobby on earth and thereafter for this lies against me".Tarzan as he is popular called made the allegation on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday while reacting to a rejoinder written by Mustapha Hamid against his (Wereko-Brobby's) critique of the party’s key witness in the ongoing Presidential Election Petition.Hamid, a Lecturer at the Department of Religion and Human Values at the University of Cape Coast in his article said Dr. Wereko-Brobby has an exaggerated understanding of himself and his competences.This angered Tarzan who replied that the Islamic scholar has neglected the children and wives he has outside marriage.He further stated that Mustapha Hamid is a "none-entity" in the NPP and thus has no locus to question his actions.However, a livid Mustapha Hamid said Allah should strike him dead if indeed he has children out of wedlock."If Wereko-Brobby’s allegation [that I have children out of wedlock] is true, may the Almighty Allah curse me both on earth and in the hereafter".He explained that all his five children were born within proper marital customs of the Islamic religion.Mustapha Abdul-Hamid said since the denial will be Tarzan’s word against his word therefore the only way to ascertain the truth is to evoke a curse so that the culprit will suffer the consequences.He said it is explicitly stated in the Holy Quran that if someone tells a lie against you, evoke the curse of Allah against yourself and the person.
