A master of ceremonies, Kwesi Pratt Yamoah popularly known in the entertainment industry as ‘Myster Pratt’ has revealed that his career officially began after he had the opportunity to emcee media personality, Abeiku Santana’s wedding.
He made this revelation in a conversation on Joy Learning TV’s entrepreneurship and career development programme dubbed, ‘The Career Trail’.

Myster Pratt narrated that it all began at a fashion show when the proposed MC for the programme failed to show up and hence, the opportunity was given to him to host the event.
According to him, Abeiku Santana who was present at the event realised his talent and gave him the opportunity to emcee his wedding after seeing him emcee an El Fashion Night.
“It was an El Fashion Night and Abeiku Santana was there. So Abeiku Santana was like this guy is good, this guy has potential. Coincidentally, his wedding was coming up, so he just invited me, I want you to be my emcee”, he explained.
He admitted that he was taken aback when Abeiku approached him, given his position in the media industry.
On Abeiku Santana's wedding day, the MC revealed that he was nervous looking at the dignitaries and the multitude who graced the occasion and this was evident in his presentation.

Instead of getting angry and disappointed, the groom (Abeiku Santana) leaned near to him and whispered in his ears to believe in himself and take charge because he was the master of the ceremony.
“When I got there, I had a co-MC and when I had the microphone, I was like, ladies and gentlemen, please... So I kept saying please, please…so Abeiku came as a groom and whispered in my ears, master if you don’t quit with the please I will take the microphone and do it myself and that was it for me.
"He whispered, you are the master of the ceremony, whatever you say, if you tell everyone here, even to get up, they will listen to your authority, and you get to do that in the next four hours after that you have no power,” he stated.

The MC revealed that although he used to emcee at church, his professional career began after hosting the Abeiku’s wedding.
Despite the challenges he faced, he kept believing in himself and never ceased practicing.
He is now one of Ghana's top wedding MCs, having hosted several weddings throughout Ghana and beyond. In addition to this, Myster Pratt has won several awards including the ‘Best Event MC’ by the Ghana Events Industry Awards.
