French U-20 boss Monsieur Pierre Manskowski believes the Black Satellites of Ghana should not be underrated by virtue of the side missing key personnel ahead of the crucial semi final clash at Bursa’s Ataturk Stadium on Wednesday. The Les Bluets defeated Ghana by 3-1 in the opening game of the competition and are highly favored to get a result against the Satellites after storming into the semi-finals by thrashing hosts Turkey and Uzbekistan by 4-1 and 4-0 whiles their opponents had to come back from loosing positions to edge out Portugal and Chile by 3-2 and 4-3 score line respectively. The French boasts some of the most highly courted players in Europe namely: Paul Pogba, Yaya Sanogo, Lucas Digne and Geoffrey Kondogbia but Mankowski insists that it is not enough to get a result against the Ghanaians as the teams have gone through different spells in the course of the tournament.“It is true that Ghana has lost some key players in Lartey, Attamah and Odjer but I believe their coach has adequate replacements for them. This is a team that has evolved in the course of the tournament and it will be disrespectful on our part to underrate them purely on the back of suspensions. They have a history with this competition having won the event in 2009 and we go into the game against them knowing that they have evolved after they lost to us earlier in the completion. It is a highly motivated side and I do not think they would want to lose to us for a second time in the competition.”The French would be looking to go a step further than in Colombia two years ago when they lost out in the semi-finals to Portugal and were also edged out by the Mexicans in the bronze medal game. The two sides square up against each other at Bursa’s Ataturk Stadium on Wednesday at 15:00 GMT.
