Ghanaian music producer and gospel musician, Nana Kwaku Osei, known in showbiz as Nacee, has underscored some factors affecting the financial fortunes of gospel musicians.
He told GhanaWeb in an interview that event organisers do not pay gospel musicians their due when it comes to performances, a situation he believes is drawing back the progress of the gospel music industry.
"We lack financial support because most gospel musicians, mostly they go to programmes, and then the event organisers are not paying them as much as they deserve. So we fight more than we are supposed to do," he said.
He indicated that having enough financial backing will go a long way to impact their ministry.
"I think with good finances or financial support, we will do more," he noted.
Nacee made this statement at the 2024 edition of the Praise Achievement Awards ceremony which was held in Accra on November 24, 2024 at the Perez Dome.
