The National Democratic Congress (NDC) executives in the Nadowli-East Constituency have expressed their gratitude to president John Evans Atta Mills for the creation of the Nadowli-East District with Issah as its Capital.
In addition, there are also grateful to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council for facilitating its creation.
This was contained in a press release issued in Wa and jointly signed by the Constituency chairman and secretary, Alhaji Lebeeh F.A and Fedelis Zumakpeh.
The release further stated that the creation of the district will addressed the deficits in infrastructural development such as electricity, water, road network.
‘‘Independence comes with responsibilities and care; we therefore call on stakeholders including chiefs, opinion leaders and the business community to bring their expertise on board to develop to develop the newly created district’’, the release stressed.
They concluded, saying, their faith in the NDC party whether in government or otherwise is unshakable and further expressed their gratitude to the Government for renaming the district as Daffiama-Bussie-Issah district which according to them reflects its uniqueness.
