The youth wing of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Nadowli West constituency has refuted media reports that a property put up by the MP for the area, Alban Bagbin was financed with kickbacks from the STX Housing deal.
The NDC supporters say the MP, who is also Minister for Water Resources Works and Housing started the project as far back as 2004.
Joy FM Upper West Regional Correspondent, Rafik Salam reported the youth as saying the rumours were being fabricated and promoted by some unscrupulous persons both within and without the NDC to sow discord in the party.
The spokesperson for the youth, David Jawara, said the structure predates both the current government and the STX deal.
He said the report therefore lacks any credibility.
