The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo -Addo has ended his five day tour to the eastern region with a renewed call on Ghanaians to embrace his pledge to make Senior High School education free if voted into power.
Nana Akufo Addo, who was accompanied by his running mate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia held series of rallies and community encounters with voters in the region.
The tour took the two to the Koforidua Central Market, Koforidua Polytechnic, Methodist School Park, Koforidua Zongo Market, Effiduase, Koforidua Magazine, Akwadum, Jumapong, Asokore, SDA Training College, Oyoko, Abuakwa South and North in the New Juaben Municipality.
The enthusiastic supporters, who were clad in party branded t-shirts, paraded themselves along major streets in the region at rally venues to listen to their 2012 Presidential candidate.
Nana Akufo-Addo told the elated crowd they had no reason banking their hopes in the NDC government, citing what he calls empty promises.
He noted Ghanaian electorates have now seen the difference between the previous NPP administration and the current Atta Mills led NDC government and will make the best judgment in 2012 elections.
On his part, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said the NDC’S single digit inflation has failed to reflect on the livelihoods of the ordinary Ghanaian, alleging government in three years has borrowed more than any government since the Nkrumah regime.
Other Speakers included Beatrice Bernice Boateng, MP for New Juaben South Constituency, Anthony Abefa Kabu, National Youth Organizer, Mustapha Hamid, Spokesman for Nana Addo and Samuel Atta Akyea, MP for Abuakwa South Constituency.
