The campaign manager of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Boakye Agyarko has vehemently denied media reports that party executives were hooted at during Nana Akufo-Addo’s all-hands-on-deck tour to Kumasi in a bid to interact with party officials. There were reports that Nana Akufo-Addo’s entourage and party executives were met with angry outburst and chants by supporters who were unhappy with results of the recently held parliamentary primaries across the country.Boakye Agyarko's intervention to calm tempers, was said to have elicited hisses and boos from the supporters who also threatened to vote skirt and blouse if their concerns are not adequately addressed. But speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Monday, Mr Agyarko stated unequivocally that “Nana Addo was not hooted at; I was not hooted at” adding, “we have to understand that in all human endeavours we cannot get unanimity… You will by all means get dissension.”He insists that such dissenting views are only problematic when they are not managed effectively.“We are a united party. We do not have unanimity where 100% of the people agree to go in one direction,” he stressed.Mr Agyarko said people who contested in primaries and lost are disappointed and that these are issues that are bound to happen. He however revealed that the party has instituted a conflict resolution team headed by Mrs. Frema Opare to find solutions to their concerns.Story by Derick Romeo Adogla/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
