The National Chief Imam and Mufti of Ghana, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Shaributu has indefinitely suspended Alhaji Khuzaimah Osman from acting as an officer of the National Chief Imam’s office with immediate effect.
According to the press statement from the National Chief Imam’s office, “Alhaji Khuzaimah Osman henceforth ceases to be the P.A. to the national Chief Imam, the Executive Director of Sunset Fund, I.P.A.S.E.C, and all other positions he holds on behalf of his Eminence the National Chief Imam.”
Alhaji Khuzaimah’s suspension follows his involvement in a land tussle at Ablekuma after he had gone to acquire the land in the name of the national Chief Imam without his consent.
Following media reportage on the land tussle, the Chief Imam has denied claims of owning the land, stressing that “his office has not been created to be exploited for one’s personal gain.”
He warned those using his name and office for personal ventures to desist from that.
The general public is therefore advised against engaging the service of Alhaji Khuzaimah Osman.
He is being replaced by Dr. Mohammed Marzuk Abubakar Azindon.
