The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the termination of all volunteer appointments within its offices.
The termination is expected to be effective on February 28, 2025.
According to a circular issued on February 21, 2025, by NSA Director General Mr. Felix Gyamfi, noted that the decision comes as part of the authority's ongoing efforts to restructure its volunteer programme.
It added that termination affects all volunteers except in districts where only one staff member is managing operations. Such districts will retain one volunteer assistant. Additionally, vacant districts will be allowed to maintain one assistant, a cleaner, catering staff, and farm personnel.
The circular expressed appreciation for the dedication and hard work of volunteers, acknowledging their contributions to the NSA.
Furthermore, it indicated that Heads of Departments (HODs), Unit Heads, and Regional Directors have been directed to ensure that all NSA property, including laptops, documents, and motorbikes, are returned before the deadline.
