The National Commission on Civic Education (NCCE) has expressed dissatisfaction with the voter registration exercise and blames the Electoral Commission for the problems.
The NCCE said this year’s registration exercise was poorly managed by the EC.
The Greater Accra Chairperson of the NCCE, Mrs. Doris Acheampong said the EC’s education on the subject was not comprehensive enough to properly guide the electorate.
She told Joy News that if the NCCE had been involved, it would have drafted effective communication materials to educate the people.
According to her the needless queues and violence that characterized the exercise could have been avoided.
“The collaboration is not effective as it should have been,” she stated.
