Ms Bridget Gordon, Ablekumah North Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the weekend, called on the National Executives of the party to streamline the communications machinery of the body. This she said would reflect a common agenda and a united front for supporters and members of the NDC to articulate the principles and vision of the party to the electorate.Ms Gordon who made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra and added that the party should have a clear policy of people who should talk on its behalf.“As the December 7 general election approaches, the NDC should have a clear agenda of promoting party unity since we cannot go into the election with a divided front. That will be a dangerous journey.“Dialogue is very important for this journey instead of confrontation,” she stressed, adding that “people who are pursuing their personal agenda should not vent it under the guise of talking for the party.Ms Gordon said the haphazard manner the NDC was handling the raging dispute between the Founder of the party, Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings and his wife Nana Konadu was not encouraging. She said the party symbol of the NDC is an umbrella, explaining that “instead of scattering people under the umbrella the party should rather gather people under it”.Ms Gordon said the reckless talk against certain personalities of the party is worsening the internal feud.
