The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stepped up efforts to retain power in the December polls.
The party on Saturday organized a workshop for its Parliamentary candidates, Constituency chairmen and secretaries as well as MMCES and DCE’s in the southern sector of the country.
The event was graced by Party Chairman, Dr. Kwabena-Agyei and other party-stalwarts like Prof Kofi Awoonor and Prof. Kwamena-Ahwoi among others.
The party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu-Nketia told Joy News the initiative was part of their preparatory activities towards their political campaign.
“Everybody knows that in campaigning there are three critical personalities at each constituency level that should cooperate to make the campaign effective.
“So this workshop brought together all these three people in all the constituencies for us to go through some assessment exercises and then share ideas about how best to proceed with the campaign,” he explained.
Meanwhile the party is due to organise a similar workshop for the target group of the Northern Sector in the Ashanti region next Saturday.
This would culminate in the launch of the party’s manifesto and political rallies for the elections.
