Officials of the ruling NDC say they have cleared all difficulties that saw constituencies in Greater Accra and other regions not participating in last weekend’s parliamentary primaries.
They say all is set for the exercise this weekend.
Deputy General Secretary George Lawson tells Joy News aspirants in two other constituencies where elections were postponed have been disqualified.
This means incumbent MPs, Gabriel Kojo Essilfie, MP for Shama, and Kingsford Alban Bagbin, Member of Parliament for Nadowli West will receive popular acclamation.
He said the sitting Member of Parliament for Adentan, Kojo Adu-Asare, whose u-turn to re-contest the seat generated confusion in the area, has been cleared to contest.
Primaries would, however, not be held in areas such as the Ketu South and Weija where there could be possible creation of a new constituency.
