The National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Thursday congratulated workers on the occasion of May Day and said as a social democratic party, it would continue to take “abundant interest” in the improvement of the welfare of workers.It said it would look after the welfare of all working people on the shop floor, farmers and other unionised and non-unionised producers who by their collective effort were moving the nation in the right direction.In a statement signed by Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, General Secretary, the NDC pledged to work with all forces in Ghana to put the economy back on track.“We call for hard work, discipline, patriotism from the rank and file of the working people and all Ghanaians,” it said, adding, “the positive result of this will immure to the benefit of all Ghanaians and to generations yet unborn.”Source: GNA
