The ruling National Democratic Congress may be going to congress on September 1st, 2012, according to sources.
Myjoyonline.com has also learnt President John Mahama may be the sole candidate to be presented to congress to be endorsed on that day.
These and other decisions yet to be announced have taken center stage at NEC meeting on Thursday after the death of President Mills.
The NDC’s flagbearer slot became vacant after its flagbearer and then sitting president John Evans Atta Mills died unexpectedly last Tuesday.
National Executive Council (NEC) of the party has been meeting on Thursday to deliberate on finding a replacement for Prof. Mills to lead the party to the 2012 December elections.
