Mr Godwin Dela, the Subin Constituency Secretary of the party, who made the call, said, even though 9 out of the 10 constituency seats in Kumasi are held by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), he was confident that "with commitment, dedication and unity, the NDC can improve on its electoral performance."
He was speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kumasi concerning the Constituency’s preparations towards the next general elections.
Mr Dela said it was important for all the party's supporters in the metropolis to accept to tell the NDC's success story of its first year in office.
This, he said, would help people to have a better understanding and to appreciate the good works of President Atta Mills' Administration.
He praised Mr Samuel Sarpong, the Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), for his immense contribution towards the development of the party.
