Addressing participants at the Hearts Park after the walk, the National Youth Organiser, Ludwig Akpene Hlodze, used the occasion to remind the youth of the party that the energy displayed at the health walk must be sustained and employed during the campaign season till the last ballot is cast and counted towards securing victory for P{resident John Mahama.
Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Layea Afotey Agbo challenged the opposition New Patriotic Party to learn the discipline within the NDC as displayed once again during the exercise, to embrace political tolerance and denounce their all die be die mantra which he described as a dangerous posture to Ghana’s democratic credentials.
Other speakers charged the rank and file of the party not to be complacent on any day but must add up to the President’s campaign by going into the homes of electorates to educate them and expose the deceit of the opposition parties in the lead up to the general elections.
Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Ade Coker stressed the need of voters to vote for the President and all parliamentary candidates contesting on the ticket of the party and to disassociate themselves from those who broke ranks with the party by deciding to contest as independent candidates.
