Mr John Ndebugre, the former People’s National Convention (PNC) Member of Parliament for Zebilla in the Upper East Region, is expected to announce his defection to another political party, possibly the New Patriotic Party, today.
He refrained from giving further details about his intended action at the moment, but information reaching Myjoyonline.com indicate that Mr Ndebugre would be holding a press conference to announce his defection from the PNC few hours from now.
Mr John Ndebugre is a private legal practitioner based at Zebilla in the Bawku West District of the Upper East Region.
He contested the 2008 parliamentary election as an independent candidate after falling out with the leadership of the PNC, but lost to Hon Cletus Avorka of the National Democratic Congress and now the Minister for the Interior.
It would not be a big surprise, should Mr Ndebugre indeed defect to the largest opposition party, NPP, after having had a close working relations with the party for some time now.
More details follow soon.
