The National Youth Organizer of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) James Kwabena Bonfeh aka Kabila says Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, the 2008 flag-bearer of the CPP who is seeking to lead the party again into elections 2012, lacks political discipline.
He said this in response to media reports that Dr. Nduom described him as a “loud mouthed empty barrel”.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s current Affairs talk show “Ekosii Sen” on Monday, Mr. Bonfeh said Dr. Nduom has no firm grounds for the statement he made about him.
He added that Nduom’s ambition to become a flag-bearer again for the CPP was for his personal agenda but not in the interest of the party. “I can sincerely say that he lacks discipline for political activism,” he stressed.
According to Kabila, as Bonfeh is popularly known, Dr. Ndoum wrote a letter to former President John Agyekum Kufuor on June 24, 2007, with the aim of collaborating with the NPP ahead of the 2008 elections.
Kabila said even after the story was published in the Daily Guide on 1st September 2008, Dr. Nduom could not send a rejoinder to challenge the publication.
He said Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom had created a lot of confusion in the party ever since he was made the flag-bearer and that confirms the fact that he is not a good party man. “Let us find somebody who will represent the message because the messenger is as important as the message you send but if you send a messenger who contradicts with the message, certainly nobody will buy you,” the CPP Youth Organiser stated.
He also refuted claims by Dr. Nduom that he (Kabila) speaks in favour of the New Patriotic Party, explaining that he is objective with issues brought to the fore by NPP members. “I disagree with members of the NPP when I have matters to disagree with them but I will also agree with them when we all agree on matters”.
