The Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana Limited, Mr. Ebenezer Twum Asante is expected to be one of the keynote speakers at the 2017 Victory Business Summit.

The summit, which is slated for July 2nd and 3rd, will be held on the theme, “ Growing Your Business: Knowing the Needs of Your Customers.”

Others speakers in the two-day summit are the Director of News Programmes and host of Citi FM’s morning show, Mr. Bernard Avle plus a Legal Practitioner and  Entrepreneur, Mr. Prince Asare.

Mr. Ebenezer Twum Asante speaks on the topic, “Service Mission for Sustained Business Growth”, while Mr. Bernard Avle will speak on, “Knowing Your Customer: Niche Marketing.”  Mr. Prince Asare, on the other hand, will lead participants through “Legal Obligations of Small and Medium Enterprises.”

The Victory Business Summit is organised by one of the biggest congregations of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, the Victory Congregation at Adenta-Fafraha.

The summit will take place on the premises of the church and it is expected to host over 50 exhibitions of business owners from and outside the church.

The Chairman of the planning committee Mr. Kofi O. Adu Labi told;

“The impact of these experiences and exposure gained by the exhibitors have been enormous. Networks have been established. People have been inspired to start their own businesses" .

"Above all, we have all gone away with the revelation, as it were, that success in business and our faith can be very congenial bedfellows,” said Mr. Kofi O. Adu Labi.

The committee announced, it is inviting plans from participants eager to set up their own small businesses.

The submissions should demonstrate clearly what the plan intends to achieve and how such a business will make a difference in the market place.

Sustainability and profitability should also be in evidence.

All plans received by July 18, 2017 will be reviewed and shortlisted for detailed consideration after which the first three in terms of responsiveness will be assisted with soft loans by the Victory congregation for the roll out of the plans.

This programme will for now be restricted to members of Victory, the committee has indicated.

The Victory Business Summit was devised by members of the Victory Presby Church’s Administration, Properties, Statistics and Human Resource Management (APSHRM) committee in January 2011.

It wants to meet the development needs of the community-based church by providing entrepreneurial skills to those keen on starting their own businesses.

The maiden Victory Business Summit was held on 21st September 2011 which was the Founder’s Day holiday.
